The refreshing aroma and taste of Wintergreen is commonly enjoyed in candies and gum, and you will be delighted with your first sniff of pure dōTERRA Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbent). However, you will love dōTERRA CPTG™ Wintergreen as a powerful aid for pain relief.

Research has shown that the natural chemical found in Wintergreen, methyl salicylate, affords anti-inflammatory properties that are highly effective for arthritis, dermatitis, headache, migraines, joint-pain, rheumatism, lower back pain, cramping, muscle aches and skin disorders (Synthetic versions of methyl salicylate are found in OTC muscle-ache creams). Wintergreen is also antiseptic and anti-microbial.

dōTERRA has voluntarily chosen to have all caps for Wintergreen products to be child-resistant. This is good, as it may smell like candy to children, but it is very strong! Always remember, essential oils should be treated as any other therapeutic product in your home, with care and knowledge, and kept out of the reach of little ones!

When using dōTERRA Wintergreen you will find that 2 drops is an ample application, whereas other essential oil brands might suggest using 7 drops. In fact, 4 drops of doTERRA Wintergreen would be excessive!
